Pork Ribs – Slow Cooker

I am not the stand outside and grill over an open flame type of gal. So these Crockpot Baby Back Ribs are perfect for my style. Easy, no fuss. Just a set and forget type of recipe.

These pork ribs are also a great idea for game-day, parties and holidays.

How To Prepare Pork Ribs

There is a thin membrane on the backside of the ribs that needs to be removed. I basically just stick my knife under the membrane to loosen it then rip it off. Here is a good visual tutorial for you to check out if needed: How To Remove Membrane From Ribs

Then cut the ribs into 3-4 sections before placing into the slow cooker. This will make the ribs easier to handle.

  • Pork Baby Back Ribs
  • Brown Sugar
  • Smoked Paprika
  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Chili Powder
  • Cumin
  • Salt
  • Bbq Sauce

How To Cook Baby Back Ribs In Slow Cooker

  1. Prep ribs by removing membrane and cutting into 3-4 sections.
  2. Mix brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin and salt.
  3. Rub ribs with season mixture.
  4. Pour water into bottom of slow cooker. Place ribs inside slow cooker.
  5. Secure lid then set slow cooker to low for 6-8 hours or high 3-4 hours. 8 hours on low will make ribs that are literally falling off the bone. If you prefer a bit more bite to your ribs plan on the shorter cook time.
  6. Transfer ribs to a greased rimmed baking sheet. Slather your favorite bbq sauce over the ribs, top and bottom.
  7. Broil High on the middle rack for 5-10 minutes. Keep a close eye to remove before sauce burns.

  • 2 teaspoons Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Cup Bbq Sauce
