What Is Au Jus Made Of

Ideally when you cook the beef roast you will get enough drippings to use as a dip for your sandwiches. This would be Au Jus.

However, sometimes there are not enough drippings and you will have to make au jus. We are making au jus with fat (or butter), garlic, flour, white wine, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce and fresh herbs. I also like to add horseradish for a little kick.
