I stumbled upon this recipe accidentally while I was haphazardly tossing ingredients together during one of my ice cream experiments.  I sometimes turn into a Mad Scientist in the kitchen.

I was attempting to make a chocolaty ice cream, but I don’t like chocolate syrup. Turns out my concoction tasted almost exactly like a Wendy’s Frosty!  I added my favorite milk mixer …
Ovaltine!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Ovaltine
1 & 1/2 cups Half&Half
1 & 1/2 cups Milk (I used 1% milk)

Mix all ingredients together and pour into your ice cream maker.  Allow it to thicken to your desired consistency.  Or you can pour into a container and freeze, using the ‘Patience is a Virtue’ method.  If you decide to do the ‘Shake Yo’ Thing’ method omit the milk and use 3 cups total of Half&Half instead.  This will ensure that the mixture thickens.  Click Here for complete instructions on the three methods.  This recipe makes 1 quart of Chocolate Frosty Malt.
