Buttermilk Ranch Dressing – toss it on your salad, dip your pizza or slather it on just about anything. One thing is for sure, Americans are obsessed with their ranch dressing!
I like this version best because it combines fresh ingredients with the tried and true dry ranch seasoning packet. The flavor is perfection.
Ranch Dressing Ingredients:
- Buttermilk
- Mayo
- Lemon
- Parsley
- Chives
- Garlic
- Dry Ranch Mix
- Salt/Pepper

BUTTERMILK RANCH SALAD DRESSING
Make this BUTTERMILK RANCH SALAD DRESSING with a handful of ingredients. The slightly tangy fresh ranch flavor is so much better than the store bought bottled variety.
Ingredients
- ½ cup buttermilk
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- Juice from ½ a lemon
- Handful of fresh parsley and chives (or 2 tablespoons chopped)
- 2 garlic cloves, peeled
- 1 packet Hidden Valley Original Ranch Salad Dressing & Seasoning Mix (1oz)
- Salt/Pepper - to taste
Instructions
In a food processor or blender, blend together the buttermilk, mayonnaise, lemon juice, fresh herbs, garlic and dry ranch dressing mix until smooth.
Season to taste with salt and pepper. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Notes
I prefer to make the dressing 2-3 hours before serving to allow the flavors to blend. (optional)
