Easy Baked Bone In Pork Chops

Pork chops are an American favorite when it comes to dinner. It makes sense because chops are quick, simple and affordable. And aren’t we all a little low on time, energy and money?

These Baked Italian Pork Chops and Potatoes are a fantastic family meal. Sheet pan dinners are great because you just plop everything down onto a pan then bake. This pork chop recipe is so simple because we are using a short cut; instead of mixing a bunch of spices together we use the packaged Italian Dressing mix to flavor this meal.

What Temperature Should Pork Chops Be Cooked To

I tend to prefer my pork on the well done side. But if you want super tender chops then shoot for 145ºF internal temp.

Ingredients Needed For Oven Baked Pork Chops and Potatoes (screenshot for grocery list)

  • Bone-In Pork Chops (3/4″ thick)
  • Small Red Potatoes
  • Yellow Onion
  • Oil
  • Dried Italian Dressing Mix (0.7oz)
  • Salt/Pepper

How To Bake Italian Pork Chops

  1. Preheat oven to 425ºF
  2. Grease a rimmed sheet pan.
  3. Place potatoes and onions on one side of pan then arrange the pork chops on the other side.
  4. Mix oil and Italian Dressing mix.*
  5. Spoon half of the Italian dressing mixture over the pork chops. Drizzle the remaining oil over the potatoes and onions then toss to coat. Salt and pepper chops and potatoes.
  6. Bake 20 minutes then broil on high for 5-10 minutes or until desired doneness.

*For extreme Italian flavor use more Italian dressing mix or add dried Italian seasoning to oil mixture.

  • 1 Lb Small Red Potatoes - quartered
  • 1 Yellow Onion - chopped
  • 1/4 Cup Oil
  • 1 (0.7oz) Package Dried Italian Dressing Mix
  • Salt/Pepper

Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 425ºF
    2. Grease a rimmed sheet pan.
      Place potatoes and onions on one side of pan then arrange the pork chops on the other side.
    3. Mix oil and Italian Dressing mix.*
