Shrimp Wrapped With Bacon

These plump juicy shrimp wrapped with salty bacon are a great combo. The sweet and spicy glaze really takes this appetizer up a notch without being too overpowering.

We are all about finger foods and appetizers at my house. In fact, each Christmas Eve we enjoy a spread of our favorite appetizers instead of a traditional dinner. This shrimp appetizer will definitely be on our Christmas Eve menu this year!

  4. Wrap each shrimp with a piece of bacon. Secure using a toothpick then place onto rack and baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 9-13 minutes or until shrimp are almost fully cooked. Flip half way through cook time to achieve crisp bacon on both sides.(time will vary depending on size of shrimp)

Notes:

The cook time will vary depending on the size of your shrimp. If you are using shrimp that are a bit smaller, check after 6 minutes of cooking.

The amount of glaze in this recipe is just enough to add a hint of flavor. If you prefer extra saucy shrimp, double the sauce mixture.

Pre cooking the bacon is a must. If it isn’t pre-cooked the shrimp will get overcooked or you’ll end up with floppy limp bacon.
